We are pleased to support the following organizations for the 10th annual Giddy-Up Gala:

Easter Seals - Camp Horizon

ESCHA one-of-a-kind camp for kids with disabilities and special needs.  Brightening the lives of over 100,000 Albertans since 1965, Easter Seals Camp Horizon is a leader in therapeutic outdoor recreation camps for children with special needs in Southern Alberta.  At Easter Seals Camp Horizon, campers make new friends and support networks, they learn new skills and overcome challenges they never thought possible. The result is new found self confidence and friendships that can last a lifetime.  They spend time with others who face the same challenges they do, and for one week each summer, they are not different - kids can just be kids again!

Providence Children’s Centre

ProvidenceHealth, education and therapeutic programs and services for preschool-aged children with all types of disabilities.  Calgary's most experienced preschool, helping children and their families since 1943.  Children achieve up to 80 percent of their personal education and therapeutic objectives in highly effective classroom programs at five schools in Calgary.  Hundreds of children in day care or licensed day home programs throughout the region also receive services from a mobile Outreach Services team.  Providence is a leader, pioneering programs that deliver results.

Between Friends Club - Camp Bonaventure

Between Friends Club
Recreation for people with disabilities.
Proudly serving the Calgary community since 1982, Between Friends Club is a charitable organization which provides year round recreational and social programs for people with disabilities, of all ages.  We focus on FUN, CHALLENGE, ADVENTURE, and FRIENDSHIP.  Camp Bonaventure is a fun, challenge-oriented, summer day camp where participants make new friends while enjoying unique outdoor experiences.  Participants gain new life experiences and develop self-confidence by challenging their own limits.  Thus, they enjoy the chance to laugh, smile and to just be kids while enjoying the summer warmth “between friends.”  Proceeds from the Giddy-Up Gala will fund Camp Bonaventure programs for children ages 5-12.

Rainbow SocietyThe Rainbow Society of Alberta

A Child.  A Wish.  A Dream Come True!  No one can wish away a child’s illness, but we can make a whole family feel better.  Since 1986, The Rainbow Society of Alberta has granted over 700 wishes totaling over 3.2 million dollars for Alberta children diagnosed with chronic or life-threatening illnesses.  Our experience has taught us that when a cherished wish comes true, a child’s happiness spreads hope and comfort to the entire family.  Every wish brings much needed respite.  A break from the routine of therapy, tests and medications.  Respite from the anxiety and fear that go hand in hand with a child’s suffering.  A wish won’t cure a child.  But a child’s joy is priceless.  And it is contagious.  With your help through events like the Giddy-Up Gala, we look forward to celebrating many more wishes.
